.223 70g

I am trying to load .223 70 gr spbt.
24 gr varget.
The information I have found is the the overall length of the loaded 70gr round is 2.200"
If I do this the round will not chamber. The bullet hits
I have to shorten the overall length to 2.170 before it will chamber.
Is this a problem?
