I am always glad to share loading data. It sounds like you have a Rounball barrel. I would try 75 grains of 3F and .015 patches. If your .018 works ok, stick with that and try 75 grains since you already tried 80 and 85 grain charges. I use 3F in two of my .54 guns while another likes 75 grains of 2F and patched ball.
