Yep, the FINISH LINE is getting closer, day by day, for us older guys. That being said, Yes, I have helped newbies get into gun collecting of militay arms. The biggest problem of WWII collectors is: Fewer arms and VERY high prices!

We are fortunate that we lived the "Glory Days" of military arms collecting, rifles and pistols, in the $12.00 -$35.00 range. Naturally, we did not have the money to buy into the really neat stuff in 1961.

In 2011, Very Good + military surplus arms are very costly presupposing they are ORIGINAL and not "Parts Guns" assembled by vendors looking for a sale. Today is a poor start to build a WWII collection. The nice stuff is long gone into private collections and the dregs are what they are. Watch the "Penny Saver" papers and snag the old, very good stuff when you can.
