How short was that shotgun barrel? If it was 18 inches, it was not an NFA firearm. I know of another bolt action 12 gauge that had a bulged barrel. A hacksaw quickly cut it to 19 inches. The saw person measured twice and cut once. A dowel was run down the barrel and marked-YEP, it was NINETEEN inches. NO Problem here. Adam
