Lube ...

For a patch lube I basically just soak them in a 7 parts to 8 parts water to one part ballistol. You could use any other water soluable oil too or possibly even alcohol which would evaporate faster. In fact a 70% alcohol might work just dandy.

As far as a hard lube goes.. pretty much i'm 50/50 crisco and beeswax (toilet rings work good). This hardens after a few weeks so isn't something you want to lube and store, but it works just fine for several weeks.

I have heard also of other oils that could be mixed in as well, but I haven't had the opportunity to try those yet.
