I kinda wish the guns were swapped. My dad had a Rem Auto 30-06 when I was growing up. I killed some deer with it as well. It was accurate, but not very reliable. You had a good chance of just having one shot. Sometimes the slide wouldnt go all the way forward after chambering a round or shooting and you would have to knock it forward with your hand. It didnt jam, but just wouldnt cock, for the lack of a better term. I didnt care much for that.

I kinda wish the 270 was the auto and the 30-06 was the pump. I would probably keep the 06 for sure then.

The muzzy looks good. May keep it as well.
