mounting a 30mm scope

fellas i am no pro at putting a scope on a gun but i have done it many times without trouble - i usually use leupold mounts and rings or very similiar- well this time i want some pro help - i have a 30 mm scope and i want to put it on a 40x action - well a pair of z type burris rings came with the scope and they are the type that would go on a weaver type base -- weeeellllll i just dont really like the looks of the weaver base type mounts - i think it looks cheap and will not hold up to a knock bump or two not that i will be throwing it around but those little bitty screws just dont impress me so - how do the pros do it - i know i have to use the burris type rings with the inserts in order to keep the warranty on the scope so i guess that is a given but whats my choices as far as a base and a set of these rings without the cheap weaver stuff - now if this is supposed to be a great way to mount then ok but i sure dont like it and also - if this scope has a 56 bell on the end and the barrel on this 22-250 is factory but big to me then what rings should i choose in order to keep it off of the barrel - the barrel size on it is factory and if i need to measure and post back i will and as far as the base a one piece seems better but i sure am open to suggestions thanks for any help
