Re: pig hunting
Quote:
They do like rainey weather and from my hunting experience (In texas for pigs)they seem to be out more during the drizzle and nasty weather rather than being bedded down. Though in unpopulated areas that have very little hunting pressure they can be out all day long or any time during the day.. If I remember correctly there are a lot of small mountains/hills near the ocean in Cali. If so then spot/stalk them in those valleys coming from the down wind side. Try not to travel in the deepest part of the valley though. Try and stay up on one side or the other to where you can see a little ways. Get in close and fire- away. Another way is to glass an area and TRY to pattern the hogs and see where their trails are and set up in range of their travel trails and fire-away..Good luck Are you using gun or archery?? |
