Enfield ATI Stock
MH357,
I went to the ATI website at www.atigunstocks.com and copied the installation instructions for a No.4 Enfield stock. There is no mention of a buttstock replacement screw. They are sold separately by parts dealers. You could try Gun Parts Corporation at www.gunpartscorp.com or Sarco, Inc. at www.sarcoinc.com for a buttstock screw. Hope this helps. All the best... Gil ".303 ENFIELD NO.4, MK.1, MK.2 OR MK.5 MONTE CARLO STOCK PART# ENF0041 Fits .303 Enfi eld No.4, Mk.1 or Mk.2 or Mk.5. Does Not Fit .308. STEP #1 Remove Magazine. Open bolt and examine chamber to make certain the chamber is empty. STEP #2 Remove the two screw-clamped barrel bands and upper handguards. Remove the two screws in the trigger guard, note the relationship between the trigger and the sear as reference for reinstallation later. Lay rifl e (magazine well facing upward) on bench and carefully work stock forearm upward and off barreled action. STEP #3 Remove rear upper handguard stock band. It may be necessary to remove front sight guard to completely remove band. STEP #4 Remove buttstock by opening trap door on buttplate and loosening attaching bolt. (Bolt is usually a slotted-head and a large blade screwdriver will be needed to remove it.) Note: Some of these bolts may be extremely tight. STEP #5 Remove buttplate from Monte Carlo stock. Install the new buttstock using the original rear stock attaching bolt. Tighten bolt. Reinstall buttplate. STEP #6 Lay the rifle (magazine well up) and work the new Monte Carlo forearm down over the barreled action. Caution: Be certain trigger is properly engaged with sear. Align trigger guard rear screw hole and start rear screw (Do not tighten.) Install trigger guard front screw and tighten. Tighten trigger guard rear screw. STEP #7 If you experience difficulty installing forend, look at the rear opening of the original wooden forend–it may be necessary to cut out the bridge of your Monte Carlo stock to match the original confi guration and ensure a proper fit. No other modification is necessary and this will not void the warranty." |
