Who does not "Leave home without it?"
This post is for CCW folks with the exception of Vermont where anyone can carry CCW "so long as they do not do so with criminal intent." You just got to love Vermont, as I do.
I have had a CCW permit all my life. Last week a neighbor came by and we chatted on the front porch. I asked him about CCW and he said, "Yep. I carry." I asked to see his carry arm and he went to his truck. Whoa! If it is in the truck and he needed it here, how does that wash? I understand folks can choose not to carry on a certain day or for several days on end, whatever. I think a right not exercised is no right at all. I do not advertise the fact I carry a lot, but I do not hide the fact either. For 26 years, I put on my holstered arm and went off to work. No big deal, it was like having a pen in my shirt pocket or a hankerchief in my hind pocket, I had them on board. I think it is better to have it and not need it than the other way around. I think it is best to "cover" the CCW arm since open carry tends to frighten the public and tips off the bad guys. Adam
