Question Voigtlander Rifle Scope ?

I could use some help learning more about a Voigtlander rifle scope brought back from Germany in about 1944. It sits on top of a M1908 Mannlicher that my father shipped back following the end of WWII. The scope is a tip-off type - meaning that it can be removed from the mounts by pushing a button on the base. Stamped below the name "Voigtlander" is the city "Braunschweig" and below that "No. 14108." There is a deer head stamped in the scope, along with the words "Scopar E." I find no further markings. I know that Voigtlander made cameras, but I know little else. Does the scope have value? It has about 50% of the finish remainging and the optics seem just fine, though I have never fired the gun using the scope or tried to zero same. Thanks for your help.
