youth bow and broad heads

I've never used a 2-blade broadhead. I used the 3 blade cause they made the 1 7/8" requirement fer VA. I've used mechanicals but every deer I shot with em ran mile fore they fell. ( I say every deer like it was alot but all total it was 4.) They didn't penetrate as well and some of the blades stuck. Like I said, I really went through hell tryin to figure it all out. I was tryin to be as responsible as I could and tested em all out fore I took em huntin on different materials...but it aint like the real thing either.
A freind of mine told me to remember that as low a weight i was pullin that the arrow was losing it's umph every millisecond it flew. I took to heart too. I can proudly say that I have only lost 1 deer bowhuntin...and that's cause it crossed the river on me. I never found a spot of blood on the other side and I walked that place for miles. On the other hand, all my experimentin on different arrows & such made me walk fer miles tryin to find deer, some with little blood spots every 200 yrds etc
But I did find em...I reckon that counts fer somethin
