Just my take on the whole matter..If ya want to use a rifle by all means do so if it is legal. I killed one in Md that way years ago. with a 22 mag rifle(winchester pump BTW). It was legal then and I shot the darn thing at about 40 yds. It is a bit more fun to call 'em in but they don't always come as far as we want them to.
