Great to hear that you got a Golden. I'm assuming that it is a Golden Retriever. I had a girlfriend/fiance at one time that had 3 of them. Really mellow dogs until they saw me get out the camo. Then they went crazy.
What I don't understand is why she would have taken the dog in a divorce if her ex wanted it, and then give it to you. This is why I don't do divorces where child custody is an issue, because I might end up killing one of the parties.
