Thumbs up Carson Was A First Rate Class Act!

I agree with all of the above posts-Johnny Carson broke the mold for late night talk show hosts when he retired. I enjoyed his monologues (as a young kid through my young adult years-who can hold your attention like that nowadays?) Watching all of the networks playing some of his skits really makes me appreciate just how talented a person that he was. Although I am not a Tonight Show watcher these days, I thought that Jay Leno did a nice job remembering Johnny on last night's show.

One thing that I learned over the weekend that I thought was cool is that apparently Johnny Carson would still write some jokes for Dave Letterman's show after he retired. Whenever Dave would use one of Johnny's jokes, he would silently acknowledge it with Johnny's patented golf swing. I had seen him do this myself before but never drew the corrolation. Pretty kewl! Johnny will be (has been) missed!
