Remington does indeed make a synthetic stocked/matt finished 1100, but.....
It is not the same quality as the wood/blued model. We had used these as range guns at range I had worked at only because of the price. We also never had one that didn't need to be tweaked in some fashion either to function or shoot where it was supposed to. If you plan on doing alot of shooting you can pretty much think about rebuilding the gun around 12,000 rounds and cutting it up for scrap at around 30,000 rounds
Spend the extra and get the original wood stocked 1100 which are fine guns.
