I do owe you a beer, Dan! You were certainly right about the pre 64s. The more I pick it up and hold it up to my shoulder the more I like it. I can't wait to shoot it. Why a one piece scope mount? I plan to do some research and get some optics worthy of this rifle. Any suggestions, guys? Highball, it sounds like you have some guns I would like to see! I may eventually wind up with a pre 64 in .243 and also .308....the rifle fits me perfectly.
