Hey Evan you have almost got it right with the almost perfect rifle/calibre for varmint to big game. One calibre larger and you would have had it right. Make mine a remmy 700 BDL Or Sako finnbear in 6.5/06. Flatter down range trajectory with 100 gr bullets than 2506 and more energy at 300m with a 120 gr than a 270 win firing 140 gr. With 140 gr projectiles will take the largest deer with ease out to 350 metres. The 6.5 is the most versatile calibre from 260 rem through to 264 winmag on paper or in the field. Find someone who has been around firearms for a while and I'm sure you will find they don't disagree. Accurate, Flat shooting and hard hitting. This is the perfect calibre. Now lets see the fur fly
