I don`t have a G-2, but I have 3 of the old style Contenders and 2 - Encores, I like the Encore frames better because you can use the larger cals. with them. That said that little .17 AH on the Condender frame is one of my favorite rifles. You can get trigger springs from Mike Bellem that that make the Encore a real nice rifle. I have 2 frames that have trigger pulles less than 1 lb. , probibly less than 1/2 lb. Bad thing is you got to make the first shot count as there is usually no second shot.
