Okay, you guys are killing me. It seems as though you want your cake and you want to eat it too. Yes, I live in the city, but I would prefer the country. I went out to Arizona and Nevada for my honeymoon and I saw land for sale at $100 an acre up to $175 an acre. I just paid $333,000 for my place last year which is a townhouse on .10 acres and it is now worth $420,000. In Arizona or Nevada, that would buy me one heck of a ranch with a decent sized house on it. I saw plenty of elk crossing and mountain goat crossing signs and would love to be out there hunting them.

Problem is that I cannot make any money out there. There aren't enough people that need legal or CPA services.

So, for those of you crying about how far you live from your jobs and how bad the situation is where you live, get up and move. Don't complain that you live 100 miles away from work. That is a life style choice, especially if you want to live in the country.

Why are there more jobs in the city? Probably because there are more people, more retailers, more construction, etc.

For those of you wanting war, life is not as simple as it was 65 years ago when there were no nukes. If China fires nukes at us, who should we nuke after that? Should we only retaliate against China? If we only retaliated against China, Russia would probably come right into both countries and mop up. Should we also fire against Russia to set it back too? If so, Russia would fire against us and we would definitely be doomed, not to mention that most of the entire world would be suffering a fallout situation.

I have no argument with us being in the Middle East and taking care of terrorism. What I have a problem with is you guys thinking that we can just park ourselves over there and take the oil without there being any repurcussions. Trust me, it is a delicate situation.

As far as wanting war on our own soil, you have definitely lost your mind. I would never wish that on my own country. Sure, it would make it tougher for their supply line, but I am sure that plenty of people would be killed here and plenty of infrastructure would be lost.

Regarding the rising oil prices, I thought there was something passed in the 1930's preventing price fixing and cartels. Seems as though Microsoft got sued over it lately and Bell got split up 20 years ago over it. How is it that the oil companies can get away with price fixing? It would seem that most of them are charging the same price for gas and there is absolutely no competition.

If you are mad about the price of gas, start buying hybrids or electric cars. That will force the car manufacturers out there to make the cars. Does GM have a hybrid out yet? What about Chrysler? I find it completely apalling that Ford only has the Escape Hybrid.

Meanwhile, the Japanese are turning out hybrid after hybrid like they turned out gas friendly cars in the late 70's and early 80's. That changed the automotive industry for sure and I think the Japanese will do it again. There already is the Honda Accord, the Honda Civic, the Toyota Prius, the Lexus SUV, and I am sure I am missing a bunch.

Don't get mad, get even. Show the auto industry what you want and let the oil companies know they can go to hell.

Of course, that would mean buying a new car and the price tag is slightly higher on the hybrids too. So, if you don't have the money, go back to the top where I talk about life style choices.

Just as we do not have the right to health insurance, there is no right to hunting, fishing, vacationing, etc. These are all things that must be earned. My honeymoon was my first week long vacation in 3 years and I did barely any hunting last year. That was a lifestyle choice.
