If anything, the bleeder blades may have added a little stability. I wouldn't use straight fletching, unless going to maybe a four fletch. I think the spin gives the arrow needed stability. Others may have a different opinion on this. Don't worry about the ribs. They seem to find thier way between them, and I've seen on a couple of deer where they sliced through them.
