Good Point Gotcha...

I have been following this debate some as some states (Kentucky I believe) has allowed crossbow hunting during the full archery season.

Personally, if it helps the deer herd (by culling or harvesting does) and it is facilitated in compliance with local laws and DNR regs, I wouldn't have an issue with it.

In Illinois, one has to be disabled to archery hunt with a crossbow.

Like anything, however, if sound game management and ethical hunters do not do their part, I don't think that the mode of hunting is all that important.
