well the 3006 has me suprised, and get this i was shocked to set a primer off in rems facotry ammo only to realize it handnt set the powder off, quite an eary feeling. i just kept the rifle pointed down range and slowly opend the bolt. ammo was bought about a year ago. just has me mazed. the rest of the 19 rounds went off without a hitch.
acuracy at 100 is plenty good. pounded my shoulder alittle but i settled down a pulled of some smooth groups

the 220 on the other hand has me amazed. ive found 41.5gr of imr4350 to be very acurate with 55gr vmaxes. i have no idea of velecity but i think its movn.

i punched paper with the load at 100 200 and 300 this evening, shooting at 1" orange dots.

my trajectory isnt following the path i thought it would

hornady says
1" high at 100, 200 zero and 5" low at 300.

im 1" high at 100, still bout an inch high at 200 and 2"s low at 300. with 3" 5 shot group at 300. 100 and 200yds grps were about identical.

my flight path on paper leads me to belive im shooting flatter than the facotry ammo, though 3" group doesnt realy show you exackly how low your shooting at 300.

but i do now know a dead on hold to 300yds with the load. i havetn seen any pressure signs and am thinking about going up to 42grs. this powder has been shooting tigther groups with every .5grs i drop in it. or i could stay right where im at and load a bunch up and be happy. but im about out of 4350 and think ill just load till its gone, ive got enough brass and bullets to get rid of it.

ohhhhhh also took the head of jackrabbit at 200yds, all had was head shot. held dead center of his head and cent his ear flying, literaly.

this 220 is amazeing.
