I've hunted the general area a few times. I can't find my map that shows exactly where area 79 is so I'm not sure where you'll be. The bull I'm holding to the left was taken within sight of the Tetons to the NE. As a non-resident you'll be limited to the public land that you can hunt, unless you have a guide. The J.D.R. just south of Yellowstone holds some monsters, along with lots of grizzly bears and the meanest mess of timber you'll ever see. Very hard area to hunt, but it holds big bulls. Later in October you might be dealing with some migration, and then it's anybody's guess where they'll be. An area thick with elk if they're moving through. If they're not, then you might as well have an elephant tag. You'll have fun.
