.006 is the factory setting. However, it is not the most accurate setting for most DW guns. 99% of DW guns do not turn true, as the cylinder turns, the gap gets wider or narrower. The best setting for your gun would be the least amount of gap, at the closest point in the cylinder rotation, that will allow the firing of your intended bullet, without jamming. A cast bullet, due to lube, will require about .0015 more clearance than a jacketed bullet. I run very narrow gaps in my guns. Ed
