Okay, to answer your question, the Extrema 2 has a recoil reduction system in it, as does the SBE II. However, they are different recoil reduction systems.

For Skeet, recoil might not mean much, but I know it does for me. My sporting clays gun and my SBE both have recoil reducers in them. I am 5' 9" and 150 lbs and have suffered some backaches in the morning from the SBE and 3 1/2" shells. That was until I put the recoil reducer in the buttstock.

If you are sensitive to recoil, I would pay the extra $300. Then again, I do not think the SBE II is that much more expensive than the SBE. You should really look at that gun compared to the Extrema. The SBE is much easier to clean and maintain.
