I shoot skeet about once a week, more in summer, none during bird season. I'm an "informal competitor" and never enter the club's regular competitive shoots.
Its a great way to become a better bird hunter, and I also enjoy the comeraderie of shooting with a friendly group. You didn't ask, but we also shoot sporting clays from time to time.
