hofts,
I am in good company with rem700, Gil and Billy; I remove my rifle stock the evening after a day of hunting in the rain. I dry off the barreled action and stock interior and let them air dry a day or two. I wipe the barreled action with an oil/grease cloth, reassemble and then fire a few rounds to "reseat" the action in the stock. If a gun is glass-bedded, the normal SOP was always to fire a few rounds to "reseat" the action and then all is well. Good post. Far too many guns that get soaked every deer season do not receive this proper care. Adam
