Yeah, if only we all had a conscience. Then, when I call a buddy to ask if him if he and his friends are going to hunt a farm/pond the next day after they had been hunting it that day with success, he would have the conscience to tell me that they left a dead goose in the middle of the ice and it probably wouldn't be a good idea for me to come and hunt that pond/field the next day. If only everybody had a conscience, then I wouldn't have had to go into the freezing cold water without waders on to rescue my dog because I sent him in to retrieve that goose that was ruining mine, my dad, and my dog's hunt. Of course, that was only my second goose hunt of that year and it was the last day of the season, both of which I told my "buddy". However, only in an ideal world where everybody had a conscience would I have been told about that. Of course, in an ideal world where everybody would have a conscience, then maybe you wouldn't have gotten on the internet and tried to make fun of me about having to go in and rescue my dog. Again, that would only be in an ideal world.
Kind of like I could have been making fun of some idiot leaving their antlers to hang out on a tree, but I didn't until now. This post just irks me. Me, I truly believe in Karma, and what goes around comes around. Your brother must have done something good in his life to get the antlers back. Likewise, I met some hunting buddies this past season that are complete gentlemen. They did not mind one bit if my dog jumped out of the blind while geese were working, they were patient about me working with Nitro, and there was absolutely no yelling. It was great. We had three father/son pairs in the blind hunting. We got along so well that they called me several times during the season to hunt. Again, I believe in Karma. Maybe you guys will learn something from this episode with the antlers. Then again, probably not.
