challenging accuracy

Derringers can be a bit hard to shoot, but, with some of the shot shells either 410 or some of the pistol ammo types in 38 Special, 357 Mag, 44 Mag, or 45 Colt you should be able to hit a snake at close range... and the bird shot will do a good job of killing them.

I carry one shot round in my ranch carry revolver just for the occassional rattlesnake.
