My .22-250 has a heavy 24" SS barrel and performs very well at 300yds. with IMR4064 34.1grs. I haven't shot it further than that.
It'll give me 3500fps with the Sierra 52gr. HPBT bullet. Sierra doesn't list this as a hunting bullet, but it works very well on woodchuck. Best wishes. Cal - Montreal
