Also consider that BOTH sides of the sling from the crane disappear BEHIND the gator's neck, and we have a simple Photoshop-job.
(Even if not, if the LEO is 6" tall, the gator is only a touch more than three times that.) My guess would be about a 12-footer, cut and pasted "closer" to the camera. Still a very big gator, but no 23-footer has lived on this planet for 150 million years - if then.
