.22 mag rimfires I know can be effective. and not waist alot of meat.
On a spring hunt in most states turkey woods it might get a bit scarry if they opened it up for CF rifles. Not enough line of sight with all new green leaves. I would use the hornet as it is just a bit more than the 22 mag. Should be meat left.
