Hey skeet, you'd had loved the one we had on our Gunship. 2 million CP and when we turned it on the Army guys on the ground could read a newspaper if they wanted. We flew our Troops in Contact (TIC) missions at 4800 AGL. That was the only time we ever got to use the WHITE LIGHT. Never used the Light on truck trails. You never knew where they might have AAA Guns set up. We used nothing but Infra-red then.

It was fun watching the VC ziggy around the Jungle trying to avoid our troops. What was really fun was when we dropped a LUU which is a giant road flare and turned out the light and let go with the Mini-guns. Music to my ears. The Army guys liked it too.
