Don't 'hunt' them here, per se.....prefer to use them for dog training instead (when I can get my hands on some).
Quite popular in the U.K.....I believe the species is "wood pigeon", and they are consumed. I still cant get myself to try one....even though I've held them captive and fed them the best cracked corn money can buy.
