This is what the individual in question said

I'm not blaming a bow or the shooter, I just thought everyone should be aware of this incident and use alot of caution.

The following was posted further along in the linked thread:

"yea i shoot lefthanded... it had a drop away arrow rest and my only guess would be when the string came off the cam the rest dropped and wasnt guiding the arrow any more so the arrow went where it wanted to which just happened to b my hand lol... the arrow kept enough pressure on my finger to stop the bleeding and as far as pain for as bad as it looks it wasnt that bad... its been almost a week ago that this happened and the most pain has come from bumping on somethin and cleaning the entrance and exit wound.... still no feeling in that finger though, which kinda worries me but i know its prolly keepin me out of a lot of pain lol"

I can't say what actually happened but this is what the guy said, in his thread. Anything else I said about how it happened would be guess work on my part. I don't know the guy or even where he lives, I just thought it was something everyone should see.

Again, I'm not blaming the bow or the shooter, I'm just passing along the information.
