Well, 60 views and no replies..... So I did a little experimenting. I took a .22 magnum empty (fired) casing and cut the head off. I then threaded a loop of 15 lb test fishing line through it, and then put a large clump of deer hair through the loop. I then pulled on the fishing line to pull the deer hair up into the casing, and then crimped the casing to hold the hair in place, and then trimmed the hair down to an even size. Works O.K......would like the hairs to be a bit 'stiffer', but it seems to work for light duty. I'll try and post a pic at some time (daughter's away at college....she is my computer "go to" guy)
