Actually, I appreciate the words of concern, but some of you totally fail to see the full scope of this disaster and what has driven it to where it is and what is going on now.

First you need to understand the ecology of the marine eco system in the Gulf. With few exceptions there is no beachfront wonderful viewing areas in E Texas, LA, AL or W MS. The costal areas are marshland, bayous and bays where life in the Gulf starts, the birthplace of the small creatures. They are dead.

Waterfowl come to eat; there will be nothing for them to eat. They will die.

The currents of the Gulf are moving hundreds of thousands of barrels of oil, not north, but South, to the Keys of the state of Florida, the coral reefs of the Keys will die.

The base of the oyster, shrimp and scallop business in the US is in the north Gulf, it was stopped two weeks ago. The scallops, shrimp and oysters will die.

The brine shrimp, the little shrimp that feed the minnows hiding in the shore grass will die.

The economy of the entire Gulf coast will be affected. Some bank presidents I talk to say a great economic disaster is on the doorstep, no rentals, no tourists, no sea food sales, no real-estate sales, values plummeting, etc. Not Billions in loss, but Trillions with a T. From Mexico to Key West!!

Why? After the Exxon oil spill our Congress put a cap on the economic impact a spill could have on an oil company. That cap is 75 Million Dollars. Now if you have a bean counter and you have x number of wells and safety features at depth costs say 10 million each, how many wells do you not put proper safety devices on before you reach a positive number if you have one spill every 30 years? Come on, this is not hard. Putting something on the well even when you know it will not work, gives you plausible deniability, and prevents "Gross Negligence."

The responsible party is the Congress of the US. They receive millions from the oil industry whom they are supposed to police and in fact do not do so. The Congress not BP has screwed us.

I have a ringside seat. I live in probably the most beautiful spot on the water in all of the US. Yesterday the "tar balls" started washing up on the white quartz beaches here. The crystal clear water of all hues of blue and green are now full of brown/black oily globs. I live on the water, so I do not have to watch CNN or listen to some idiot tell me what is happening, I look off my back deck and watch the disaster unfold. The sea turtles dying, the dolphins dying, the sea cows dying, crabs dying, sea birds, great blue herons, snowy egrets and guys it really sucks to have been, as I was, a supporter of off shore drilling.

I feel like I have been violated in the worst way. Totally screwed and not a kiss one.

BP has been running around here like a chicken with its head cut off, not a clue what to do. Now there are dozens of class action laws suits that have been filed claiming Gross Negligence, the willful and wanton disregard of....... This week BP has started paying claims and acting like someone with a plan, besides writing a 75 million check to a fund and just walking away, which is exactly what I think they thought they were going to do.

If you had no idea the Obama was a joke before, just listen to a dumb Chicago A. H. run his stupid foul mouth now. Maybe he will fly to London and ask BP to play nice. Perhaps he will get a commitment for a new BP station in Chicago, with his influence.
