Looking for
Ok, I am thinking (planning) on going to Africa in 2 years. I am mainly planning on a week long trip for my first trip over there & mostly plains game. I am thinking of getting a new rifle for this trip. I would like to get one in .300H&H. That being said I looked via google at several manufacturers, but did not see one chambered in it. Does anyone know of anyone chambering the H&H? I am not looking for an expensive rifle at all.
I guess my next option would be looking for a used one, or building one...

Toxic
Define expensive. Several manufacturers chamber .300 H&H,but they tend to be pricey. If you're going for plains game probably don't need .300 H&H. Might check with Grayghost. He seems to be our resident expert on Africa. jplonghunter

oh, I know it is not a 'need' for plains game, it is more a want... be nice to take a 'traditional' Africa gun. I know I could get by with a .30-06 or one of the .300 mags. Heck prob even my 6mm would do the job. It is just a cartridge I hae always liked/wanted.
