Mr. 16 gauge,

There is a very BIG difference between Price and Value. The Illinois "Springfield Armory" has had a long run of very good and not so good rifles. Many local rifle match folks have tales to tell. I like the Illinois Springfield Arsenal products, but I have seen some rifles group well and others "also ran" and are not worth the hang tag.

BEFORE anyone spends $2,000 for a "Match" Illinois M1A Rifle, I suggest the prospective buyer go to the local range and fire 50 rounds of Match Factory ammo and seek groups touted in the M1A Literature. I have seen it go both ways. Keep the very good and CULL out what the Springfield Armory WOULD NOT! NOT all Springfield Armory Match Rifles are such like, AMEN!
