I'm not a big fan of plastic gun. Yes, I know they are reliable and all of that but I just don't care for them. I like to see the hammer and have a safety in a semi auto. However I like a revolver for carry. If it were me I would look at a stainless revolver like a model 60 in 2 or 3" barrel. Light enough to not bother your and small enough to conceal. JMO. Just for the record the 1911-a1 is the best but its just too big after you put your waders, 3 or 4 layers and all the stuff you take duck hunting.

It depends

My preferred carry piece is a Smith & Wesson Model 60 stainless .38 Special with a 2 inch barrel. It carries well and is reliable. I got my girlfriend a Model 36 which is the same revolver in blued configuration. All the best...
