Flintlock question

Johnny Reb,

Your flintlock experience sounds normal to me. I polish my frizzens about every 50 shots and sharpen flints every 15 or 20 shots as the sparks diminish. I put a drop of oil on the frizzen base every few months to keep it free to swing with the flint impact.
