Grandson Jon and I closed our antelope hunt on Saturday. Due to the extreme drought the best heads are under 15 inches. We ended up taking virtual twins of about 13 inches. His with a broadside lung shot at about 150 yds. with a 7 mag,(it made it about 20 yds.) and mine with 2 shots @ 350 plus with a 6.5-06. First shot between the neck and shoulder facing shot and second a Texas heart shot the long way. (He was going away). I was about ready for another shot when he finally gave up. We were on our way back to town at 12:35. Got to watch some football in the afternoon.
