I agree with skeet; try other ammo. To be 5 inches high and right at 5 yards will put you two feet off target at 25 yards. And, yes, in the heat of the minute, you will fail to compensate. After you try other ammo, you may be able to windage adjust the rear sight if it is in a dovetail. The front sight needs to be higher and check with the manufacturer to see if other front sights are available. Your situation is a reason I prefer adjustable sights on my handguns. Adam

if the ammo of choice doesn't solve the problem you may want to consider filing a deeper rear notch.

Just looked up the schematic, that rear sight can be moved left in the notch and you can file the top of the rear sight down. If necessary you can file it down and recut the notch deeper as a combination.
