I picked up a Model 1905 Ross Mark II a few years ago from a private sale for $30. It is an interesting rifle, but I am not sure it would be my first choice as a military arm. Every military collection should have one. All the best...

Actually, the Model 1910 Ross is far superior to the Model 1905. I own several of both and I suggest you go get a M1910, compare and report back. Adam
