High Honor for Savage Stevens Mod 200

Stevens mod 200 "Rifle of the Year"

I just bought one in 223 Rem. I havent shot mine yet but i'm VERY impressed with the look and feel!!! And I cant believe I only had to part with $265.00 to get it!!! I cant wait to shoot it, the review I read said the out of box 30-06 shot sub MOA with some factory stuff!!! I think when a gun maker gets things THIS RIGHT they should be rewarded, so ... GO BUY ONE!!!

I am a huge Savage fan, and was wondering what the 200 was like. But my question is this: Isnt the Model 200 just the old non-accutrigger 10 and 110 models with a synthetic stock?

I have NO PROBLEM with this, but was wondering why they would "Down Grade" the old series of rifle, which I like so much. I have an older model 10 in .308, and it is my favorite rifle.

				Savage Stevens Model 200

Interesting posts and I am glad to see this rifle recognized for the honor. I have a few Savage Model 110s in .270 and .30-06 that came off the used gun racks. I believe the Savage reputation for accuracy. All the best...
