Not trying to be nosy, just thought with Deer season closing in, it would be nice to get to know everyone a little more. I'm 49 and am from Tennessee. I've been hunting in the western States for 20 years. Good hunting this season, grayghost

I'm 37 and farm up in Minnesota!Been hunting with a shotgun since I was eight and a Bow since I was 12!Only missed hunting out west in 1983,1989 and 1990 due to commitment with Uncle-Sam! This fall will be my daughters first Elk hunt(she is 13)and she is running, lifting weights and carrying a pack around to get ready! Her older brother told her that girls will only slow us down due to the whinning!
He has started WWIII!She is out to prove that a 13year old girl can do as much as a 18year old BOY!I just hope they don't end up carrying me off the mountain!LOL

I'm 55, retired, and live in Wisconsin. I hunt Wis. whitetails with bow and rifle, and s.e. Wyoming mulies, I just picked up a Tikka in 7mm-08 and plan on using it this year if it performs. My first trip to the range, I dumped my ammo box, (handloads) so fired the rifle with a bunch of unknowns. I got 1 group at 5/8 inch but don't know what it was or if it was a combined group...what a mess...

I am 55, retired from teaching , turned farmer and retired from that. I decided that hunter/fisherman would be my third career choice. I live and hunt in Sask.
Stithe, I also shoot a Tikka and I think you will be happy with your rifle.
There is something about a big butted mulie that makes them my favorite game. I have taken mulies with various calibres of rifles, muzzleloaders and black powder cartridge rifles.

I am 29 and live in Oregon. I guide in Alaska for Dall Sheep, Caribou, Moose and Black and Brown bear. I also guide Elk in New Mexico and hunt Mexico for Mulies. My favorite is to bow hunt Blacktails in the snow. I have also hunted Africa twice.

I'm 31 and live near Vancouver, British Columbia. Have always loved to fish, mostly trout, but just got hooked on hunting last Fall. Borrowed a rifle, Remington .280, and went hunting mulies with a friend in Whitecourt, Alberta. Not being a resident Albertan, I chose not to buy a deer tag at $125.00 and settled on a bear tag at just over $60.00. Needless to say, everyone tagged a mulie except me and I would have had a freezer full of venison if I had bought that darn tag as we saw several nice deer after everyone had already got theirs. I did, however, make my first shot count and got a medium sized black bear at about 150 yds. Beautiful reddish-brown hide, should be about ready at the tanners in Edmonton when I go back this year. I've bought my own rifle now, a Browning Gold Medallion in .300 win mag with a Bushnell Elite 3200 mounted on top, and you can be sure I'll be forking over the money for that deer tag this year. We're thinking of going hunting near Edson for elk at the start of the season so I'll probably end up taking out a second mortgage and buying a non-resident elk tag as well.
Good hunting everyone, I really look forward to swapping stories at the end of the season.

Hello I am 61 and am a Preacher of the Gospel. Pastoring for 37 and a half years mostly in Wyoming and Montana before coming to Wisconsin. I have hunted Whitetail Mulies Elk, goats, and Bear. I have enjoyed reloading my own for 30 years and am still learning, my last rifle buy was a 338 win Mk2 SS Ruger IIt seems to be a accurate rifle just installeed a decelarator pad and am thinking of putting a Gentry Muzzel brake on.

I live in northern Montana and am 33 years old. I recently started applying for out-of-state tags, but was turned down for WY and UT (I will be hunting SD and here in Mt this year). Thankfully deer season is just about here (archery starts Sept. 1)
Good luck to all and I hope to see some photos from everyone's trophy in the next couple of months.
