Smile What big game do you hunt?

Am a little curious what big game the other women on here chase.

Up here we don't have a huge selection. We go out for black bear, moose, and deer. We can go farther north for Caribou but haven't been able to do that yet, some day it would be nice.

I like hunting caribou and moose. Haven't hunted black or brown bear before not that I didn't see any. Just don't.
Also like hunting for wolves and wolverine.

for 2legged game I've already filled my tag...still peruse the field to admire what's out there but no huntin or chasin anymore...

I haven't tried wolves yet but I'd like to. I think a nice wolf would go well with our growing collection in the recroom. We had a trapline but gave it up a few years ago cause it was getting too expensive. It was hard work but some of the pelts I was sorry to part with. We got one weasel that we kept that was in the middle of it's colour change, totally white on top and brown on the bottom.

I go out for small game all the time, it's a good excuse for the dog and I to get some exercise when everyone else is otherwise occupied.

For turkey we are planning a trip in the spring, none around here and no fall hunt in Ontario. It will be our first time out for turkey but from what I'm told we'll be hooked the first day....

Are wolverine hard to get? They are around here but they keep themselves well hidden. I wouldn't even know where to start to find one.

The wolverine are hard to find, to see one in the opening is a
blessing. I only caught one hunting, the crazy thing ran up a
4 foot tree, so I shot it. Good time to see one here is when it
is freezing cold and no one else is out. Thats when I like to go.
The rest I catch with traps.

game . . .

I've been after deer a few times, saw some beautiful does and bucks, but didn't take the shot (too far). Plan to take my first one soon though. (am young and somewhat new)

For varmints, I love squirrel of course and I'm slowly breaking into p-dogs, groundhogs, chucks, field racoons, and fox.

As for the two-leggers, oie ~lol~ I probably need to employ the .300mag for those old six-toed Bubbas that chase me around at school. Some of those boys can get pretty big. I swear I saw one near 300lbs strutting around in the field once like he was the sexiest thing he'd ever been witness to. I should have took him then but I wasn't armed ~lol~ put him out of his missery

What kind of game guns do you use for things like p-dogs, coyotes, g-hogs and the like?

Thumbs up Favorite Game

My apologies for not stopping by in a while but deer season has started here . As you can guess...DEER!!! Bow especially..one doe so far...jerky..mmmm. Love to Coyote hunt and Bird hunt (English pointers on quail) Also squirrel hunt...with some of my favorite dogs and friends.....guys you can do this almost all year...just to run your dogs...and it's alot of fun!!

Haven't really ever been able to get into turkey yet, but I must admit...our bag limits have changed because they have become so plentiful here ....I wouldn't mind getting one with a bow if the opportunity presents itself...Ditto on the Yote!!
