Question Adams and Bennett barrels

I was offered one by my gunsmith recently. He said that the company originally only made military barrels, but that they have now branched into commercal barrels.
I saw one in 280 Remington that looked great. According to him, they come bored and at a significanrt saving.
Does anyone have experience with them? Would you consider putting one on your rifle?

I have them in 22-250, .284 Win, 280 Ackley Imp and 220 Swift. They do foul worse than premium barrels, but everyone of these is a 1/2" shooter or less. With the .284 Win and the 22-250, I had had three shot groups .250 and under several times. They are very good value for the money and all you could want in a hnting rifle. Our local gunsmith chambers many rifles with these and has had very good luck.

Yep, what sambubba said. I've installed quite a few of them, most were deer rifle calibers (.308 to 35 Whelen) All shot about the same as his too. Were all pretty heavy foulers too
Ya' know I'm not too crazy about Taxation WITH Representation either.

How much

Rottweil, How much for you to fit an Adams & Bennet barrel to a REM 700???? I have a good chance on getting a rifle that has a bent barrel for a low price. It used to be a 270 Win. Stock and receiver are OK I think. Not sure of the caliber I want but 35 Whelen is a candidate. I already got a 25-06 and a 30 06 so looks like a larger bore would be a winner. Also thinking of a 8 mm mauser and 358 Win. Does Adams and Bennet chamber those? Regards, Steve
