we have 5 in the family, a 26, 27, 2 23's, and a 36. all are pretty accurate and very reliable and cover all generations except the latest. the 36 is not reliable at all how ever and i wouldnt mind seeing my pop get rid of the dang thing. their issues are well documented around the internet. supposedly they have recently updated that gun. the one we own stove pipes, fails to feed and on occasion does not lock back after the last shot sometimes. i still carry a 26 every day

My son carried is first 23 for 20 years before the state repaced it with a 3rd gen. That was several years ago, he said there was nothing wrong with it when they replaced it. Seems like they re good pistols. Me, I'm still a 1911 fan for semi autos.

G26 with Nite Sites, stainless guide rod and polished feed-ramp & throat.

Thankfully I do not have a Grock. Pretty ugly and a worrisome gun in my opinion..

I have over 1500 through my 26 without a single stoppage or F to F. It is the single most reliable pistol that I have ever owned. Jmho. People either love em or hate em.

skeet, Have not owned a 9mm for some time. I had decided I should get a 9mm but it would have to be either in a Browning Hi-Power or the Smith 639. I shot an original 39 one day and it was a real shooter. But they are like finding chicken teeth.

Larry..I am also not much of a 9mm fan And have no use for the Grocks. It's not that I don't feel they are reliable..Any gun can be reliable if we work at it..and when we like something we know how to make 'em run..like I do with the venerable 1100/1187s. I just don't feel that they are user friendly. Too much adrenaline and that safe trigger goes bang...course any gun is only as safe as it's owner. And since I am a 1911 guy..They also run like a sewing machine..for the most part. I happen to have 13 now.it was 12 before today..at the gun show. I shoot 'em all fairly often and can say I haven't had a FtoF or any problem with any of them in well over 2000 rounds..that is with 12 different guns. Then again..I have a S&W 19 that has fired over 4500 rounds with nary a problem..can't hardly beat a revolver..LOL. The 13th is in the stable now..got a Kimber in trade at the show.

zero glocks in the family. half a dozen 1911s though. I come from a military family (Vietnam an Korea vintages) and so 1911s are very popular since everybody in the family knows how to tear one down and put it back together fast that a cat can lick his.... well anyway you get the picture. For the most part I feel like Skeet does about the glocks. I don't care for them, but to each their own. As for me the only plastic I want near my guns is the storage case.
